Capital Metro invites the public to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for the all-new Downtown MetroRail Station, designed to improve our regional mobility.

The new station — scheduled to open in Spring 2021 — will allow for an increase in the capacity and frequency of Capital Metro’s busiest MetroRail station by providing larger platforms, space for more trains, and a signature public plaza. The City of Austin has partnered financially on this project.
